How To Fix Yellow Light Of Death
"What Is The Yellow Light Of Death"
The Ps3 is a great console but it has its faults like any other technical device.
The main Problem that PS3 users experience is a issue known as "The Yellow Light Of Death" or "Ylod" for short. its a issue that's caused mostly by overheating of the console. when the console is placed in a poorly ventilated area it tends to get so hot inside it can start to damage the core components and the connections begin to melt.
"How To Fix Yellow Light Of Death"
1. Again often your console gets "ylod" due to overheating so the first thing you can try is to turn off your console for 30 minutes and then switch it back on when the console has cooled down, if this works you should place your ps3 in a more well ventilated area as the heat is killing your PlayStation 3 slowly.
2. Sometimes the "yellow light of death" is caused by a disruptive power supply via loose connections, Make sure your power leads have no loops or knots and are plugged into the ps3 console correctly
3. Lastly the "yellow light of death" can be caused by a corrupt hard drive and this can be fixed by connecting the hard drive to your laptop or pc, then using the reformatting option that will be available once you connect the hard-drive to the computer. (I should warn you that if you choose to do this option you will lose any data saved to the hard-drive as it will wipe everything)
If anything above helps make sure to put your console in a better ventilated area so it wont happen again anytime soon.
If all above did not work for you, It could be due to the melting of the solder that's attache's the core processor to other important components in the console.
